Cat Hope is a composer, flute and bass performer who creates music that is conceptually driven, in animated graphic scores formats for acoustic / electronic combinations as well as improvisations. Her music is characterised by aleatoric elements, drone, noise and glissandi as well as an ongoing fascination with low frequency sound that threads through all her creative work.

Hope is also an artistic director, having run the Decibel new music ensemble since 2009, and directed opera, concert and performance art experiences.
