In September 2018 Callum G'Froerer presents Die Skulptierte Trompete, a recital of music for double-bell trumpet featuring works by Cat Hope as well as Ann Cleare, Liza Lim, Martin Hiendl, and G'Froerer himself.
He will perform Cat's work Black Tide (2017) for double-bell trumpet, subwoofer, and tape.
The concert will be held at PROGR Aula, Bern - 7pm on September 16 (details here).
New Waves Podcast
Cat Hope's work will feature alongside other composers such as Liza Lim, Lisa Illean, Alistair Noble, James Rushford and Helen Gifford, in the New Waves podcast episode focusing on Pheobe Green's work as a violist in new music. The episode features an extended conversation and studio recital, where Phoebe and Leah Scholes perform Cat's work The Sinister Glamour of Modernity (2013). Listen here.
2018 Peggy Glanville-Hicks Address
Cat Hope will be giving the annual Peggy Glanville-Hicks address at the Melbourne Recital Centre in November. A key moment in Australia’s contemporary art music calendar, the Address ignites conversations around contemporary art music, connecting the country’s new music and broader arts communities.
